On February 23, 2015, then 15 year old Sawyer closed out the Premiere of Season 8 of NBC's The Voice, performing I'm a Man of Constant Sorrow and got all 4 chairs, Adam Levine, Pharrell Wiliams, Christina Aguilara and Blake Shelton, to turn. Having the pick of all 4 coaches, Sawyer chose Pharrell Williams. As a member of "Team Pharrell" Sawyer performed weekly and through viewer votes on May 19, 2015 Sawyer won Season 8 of The Voice. On May 19, 2015 the confetti fell on the contest with more number one songs on itunes than any previous Voice participant.

Since winning the Voice Sawyer has released 3 full-length Albums, 2016's A Good Storm, 2018's Hide Your Ghost and 2020's Flowers For You, has Headlined Multiple Tours in the US and Canada and released several music videos.

Sawyer will be Touring Fall 2021 Co-Headlining with Michigan's The Accidentals. Sav Buist and Katie Larson of the Accidentals were guest musicians for 2 songs on Sawyer's Flowers For You Album; Lies You Tell and Days Go By.
